dear Orafaq,
need your help... last week we have just migrated our database to O8i(8.1.6). however, during the trial-run, we found the response time of the database to be slow.
one major factor that were looking@the moment is the initial settings of the database (mostly the size of the data blocks).
does anyone know how to resize the initial db_blk_size in the control files??..

dear mahesh,
once again, thank you for your reply!!.. we already change the db_block_size parameter in initora, but it caused us the incompatibility error with the control files.
i understand your point about re-creating the database to re-define the control files,.. but - is there no other work around to this problem? our company is currently on a 24/7 production status that's why it will be very difficult for us to create a new database.
