Hie

I am using Oracle8 as a resident database for some application X. Recently I made a backup of Oracle8 databse before trying an upgrade of application X. The upgrade consists of three phases. The first two do not in anyway affect oracle, we learnt this from our consultant of application X. But the last one is supposed to change the database structures. After I encountered some problems in this last step (modification of the database),I restored the Oracle database from my backup. On trying to run my application, I get an Oracle Server error message that Oracle is not available. Can you help on this please?

Regards

Huejb
