I am facing problem while installing oracle 8i

it gives me following error :

htmdoc80.map(0): File_not_found while mapping htmdoc80

i have NTFS partition in my machine and it is P4

please help me.

heyy u got to Dump the CD into u r harddrive, and Change the File Symcjit.dll to symcjit.old and then start the installation from the Dump... did u do that ?

ya i dump the cd in my harddrive and installed the cd from dump one but i diidn't rename the file symcjit.dll to symcjit.old

i will try that and get back to you thanks for replying me if i face any problem then i reply u

i am sorry it is Oracle Personal version 8

i did not find symcjit.dll in oracle folder

please help me.
