How can I tell what is routinely pinned into the SQL area of the SGA ?

May be you are looking for V$DB_OBJECT_CACHE.

Thanks Navneet, that's a good starting point.
I am now able to see that code is executed a lot more times than it is loaded even if it's not pinned. This must be because it's not been flushed from memory before the next invocation of the syntax?

Does anyone know how to automatically pin code at instance startup time ?
