I'm going to install Oracle8i Enterprise Edition onto a new Sun Solaris 8 unix system we've just had installed. I only want to install the Oracle software not create a starter database as well. I've read the Installation notes but i'm not sure how to go about skipping the creation of a database?

dont go for defualt or typical intsllation.
go for custom isntallation.
OUI will give a choice, to create a seed database .
SAY NO.
