How can we migrate other versions using export and import or database configuration assistant which will be good and how to migrate fro 7.2 to 9i thanks in advance

You cannot directly migrate from 7.2 to 9.2 using Migration assistant. You will have to upgrade to 7.3.4 and then migrate to 9.2 using the migration/upgrade assistant.
However you will be able to use exp/imp to migrate your database from 7.2 to 9i . You have all the flexibility and other benefits when doing this..but may not be suitable for true 24*7 OLTP systems and huge databases..
